Laura.......How are you doing? I hope you are having continued success with no further complications. Please update your profile and include an after picture of where you are at now. I wish you all the best! I hope to have surgery by Dr. Bock soon. I think Harriett is getting sick of me calling. Bye for now, Sincerely........
Congradulations......and welcome to the otherside. It's sounds to me things went pretty smoothly; Dr. Bock's the best and yea that hospital bed was awesome. For food ideas, cottage cheese, yougart, mash potato's and especially Cambell's Vegi-Beef soup went down well at that time. I sent you an e-mail to but rest up and hang in there.

Hi everyone!! My new birthday went without a hitch. I'm home now and recovering slowly. Every little thing wears me out, pain in managable (more in the uncomfortable range than the pain range). Getting in and out of my own bed has been a challege (the discharge nurse was pretty sure they'd notice a missing bed especailly as awesome as the one in the hospital was...). tough time deciding what to eat as well..in the hospital it just came to my room...how simple is THAT?!
I'll update more when I can...
Laura
Laura, best wishes for your upcoming surgery. I had mine in November 2000, and I have never had a single regret. One thing that may help to remember is that the nervousness is over with when you wake up in the recovery room to your new life.
Laura, Scott....My e-mail has been funky so I'm updating you with some thoughts on the
"otherside" since you're now 20 days away from your new you :) The procedure went fine, very little pain or affects from the drugs. Hospital stay and personnel also tops. Watch out for that meatloaf :) Talk to you soon and since I did fine, you'll do better; I'm a pain wimp :)
Hi, Laura! I see we are going to be doing this within days of each other! I'm on November 2! How wonderful!
I wish you all the best, my dear, and, since we are both in the same neighborhood, we can be of some support to each other!
Best wishes!!
