It's the heart afraid of breaking that never learns to dance. It's the dream afraid of waking that never takes the chance. It's the one who won't be taken, who cannot seem to give, and the soul afraid of dyin' that never learns to live. Thinking of you as you take this step towards a happier healthier life . *Hugs*

I'd like to thank everyone who posted good wishes here. I am now 9 days post op and doing GREAT. I had lost 21 lbs as of 2 days ago (one week out) and hope to be under 400 lbs before my Tuesday support group meeting.

I went to see Gregg this afternoon. He looked pretty good, tired but otherwise doing well.
GREAT JOB on the toenails, Crystal!! They are stylin', and the temporary tattoo ("Girlz Rule" or something like that) was a nice touch. :-)
Gregg's oxygen sat levels have been great the whole time and he looks all set to go home.
I don't know how well the nurses were treating him at Stevens, but there were very few patients on the 8th floor, with many empty rooms, and that must mean good things for the noise level and attentiveness of the staff (one would hope).
I was going to take pictures, but as sleepy as Gregg was, that seemed cruel so I didn't do it.
Anyway, he'll be home tomorrow and I bet anything he'll be on the computer by Tuesday night.
I did sort of ask him if he was mad at me for encouraging him to have surgery and there was the Gregg I know, not at all sleepy and with a serious sassy mouth. LOL that was good to hear. You might be mad at me now, darlin', but in a month, you'll be glad again. :-)
