The Journey continues...
Dec 20, 2010
Update: Haven't been on this website in a while, but the latest is I have recently delivered my first baby girl on 10/20/2010 @ 6:41pm. I had no idea i was even pregnant until I was 12 weeks. For 3 freakin months I thought i was just hitting the worst plateau of my journey, lilttle did i know I was 12 weeks pregnant. After a complete unfil due to the pregancy things are getting back to norma,i have just had my 2nd fill and hopefully by the next one i will have regained the same amount of fluid in my band i had before i got pregnant. I have gained about 32lbs from the pregnancy, but getting back on track is one of the hardest things. I know once I am able to get back to the gym and control my diet agian things will move along. Wish me luck and hope all are doing well with their journey.

6 Weeks Post op!
Mar 02, 2010
Well, I have to say the journey has slowed down a bit, but I'm ok with that just knowing it's off for good. I just received my 2nd fill yesterday. I have 5.8 cc's in my 10cc band. I don't know why, but some strange reason I feel naseau after the fill, the nurse suggested the novicane they use to numb the port spot before the fill. Oh well seems to go away by the evening time. As of this morning I am down 37lbs WOW! can u believe it. I am so excited. Isn't it Crazy how the number on the scale in the morning can set your mood? Stay tuned...

1 Week Out & 20lbs Down!
Jan 12, 2010
Well I really did it. It's not a walk in the park like some might think. My surgery was supposed to be outpatient and home that afternoon, instead I had to stay overnight. I didn't want to wake up from recovery,
my body just wanted to sleep. The Dr's said they hadn't seen anything like it, and too my oxygen level was 90 across the board and they said anyone below 90 was opted to stay so my odds were against me, I really wanted to go home, but later that night when making my potty break I noticed it was a good idea I had stayed the night cause I had hell nausea!
I remember throwing up when coming out of surgery, and than again in the recovery room, poor nurses....
Way not fun>
My sisters all came to visit it was a great!
My oldest sis brought me flowers.
Its a new begining for me! I so excited. My hubby did awesome! He sooo took care of me, I Love HIm!
I now am a week out and down 20lbs.
This liquid diet isn't as easy as some might think, prepare yourself, I read of people not being able to get all their protein in and I was like wow ok, just eat more duh... and now being on the other side of the fence, guess wat? I am one of the peps having a hard time with protein. HAHA Im working steadly on it. My next hurdle will be my 2 week check up. Hope all goes well then. I will keep you posted, unitl then
wishes you good health!!!

My first Support Group
Dec 15, 2009
I have attended my 1st support gorup. I was nervous to attend,
I wasn't sure what to expect.
When I showed up it seemd like everyone knew everyone. After everyone was accounted for the meeting began.
It was great! We started off with everyones names and what type of WLS they had and how much they lost. It was very encouraging. I was happy to see that they were very welcoming and excited for my journey to begin. I can't wait either to get my life back. It's getting closer and the closer. The closer it gets the more nervous I am.
My next step is my Pre- Op appt with Dr. Brown. Hopefully that goes as well as this. Will let you know.
