"Dr. Needleman is a very kind man, but speaks very quickly, remains standing and did not maintain eye contact, which I must admit gave me the impression that he is aloof, which he is NOT. It just makes me nervous. I'm used to my family doctor who sits about 2-3 feet from me and maintains eye-contact. Some of you may think this is petty, but it affects my comfort level. THIS IS JUST A PERSONAL OPINION!!! I know several women who have nothing but high praise for him. In fact, due to continued port pain, I AM having Dr. N. do another surgery on me; I will have my port moved from the abdomen to the sub-sternal area on 2/6/03, so please realize that I do not think he is a "bad" doctor. His staff members are generally polite and helpful."

"Very small rooms that were too hot and stuffy. Only once did I not get my pain meds on time, that was during a shift change and I got loud about it. Otherwise, I was well taken care of and the nurses were very good. One was kind enough to cut an inch and a half off the tops of my footies because they were too tight. Very observant of him! It seemed like visitors were allowed to be there whenever. I had no problem with that. One major thing that I want to say is that I do not feel like I got adequate diet instructions when I went home. They gave me 2 booklets from Inamed, but the info seemed so broad. It turns out that I was supposed to get diet paperwork when I left, but no one gave them to me. At my 2-week follow-up appt., I mentioned this disservice and the doctor basically blew it off. It IS important, so find out before surgery exactly what you should be eating the first week, and the second week. (every doctor advises differently)"

"Christine is really amazing. I had a panniculectomy in 1999 and my scar couldn't look better! She did a beautiful job and I look and feel much better. I'll have her do my arms, legs, and breasts after my WLS. I did have to have it performed at a hospital because there was 23 lbs. or skin and fat to be removed."
