Surgery Date Scheduled
Nov 28, 2006
Yippie! I'm so excited, about 3 wks ago I received my letter from University Hospital in regards to surgery. I have a date of 01/29/07 at 7:30am! I'm so excited. This is going to be the best thing for me and my family. I can't wait to get this started. I won't be able to sleep when it gets closer...It'll be like Xmas in January for me. I will be 30 years old in September and I wonder what I will look like, then in Jan 2008, we are going on a Southern Caribbean cruise, I will be one hot mama!!! Ha Ha Ha! My husband is also happy for me, I think he is a little scared as far as the surgery part goes. Bye for now.
Approved for Surgery
Nov 03, 2006
Well yesterday I called my health insurance company, left msg with nurse to call me when the medical director makes his decision on my claim. Approximately 30 minutes later, I received a phone call from the insurance company, stating that YES, I was APPROVED for surgery. I was so excited, that I called my friend, and told her my wonderful news. Next I will call my husband when he wakes up, since he works nights. I also called the Bariatric Center to let them know, and they will forward the authorization information when they recieve it to the surgery dept for scheduling. I just hope that I can have it in December, perhaps after Christmas or first part of January, hopefully my Surgeon, Dr. Kim, doesn't take a long XMAS Vacation, if not at all!!! I can't wait!!! I told my husband once I got home from work, and he was so happy for me. On Wednesday when I return to work, I will let my Nurse Manager and Administrator know my plans in regards to having time off of work. I still hope I can attend school next semester, I can't miss too much of nsg classes. Hopefully I can just have 1-2 wks off of school, since I'm only taking one class next semester. I am so looking forward to the new me, who will be able to play with the kids outside, be passionate with my husband without feeling 'insecure' and not have to worry about my BP all the time. Until next time. Take Care!
