My story,
I have been fighting the weight for more than 22 years. The weight just kept piling on. Then i was diagnosed with Diabetes and High Blood pressure and have Migraine Headaches since i was a teenager. I felt sick all the time. My favorite expression was "I'm tired of feeling sick and tired". But just kept going. Started having Acid reflux, and eventually diagnosed with GERD. It was like "what else can happen". Had insurance at one time that said they covered bypass. But then they denied the claim. Finally got insurance that would cover if you jumped through some hoops. I decided to go to Scottsdale Bariatric Center and Meet a wonderful Staff that helped me through the process. They turned in my paperwork and we had a response a week later. I finally had someone on my side that wanted to see me get better. I had my surgery 11/4/08 and was off my diabetes medication when i left the hospital. I still take my medicine for headaches and blood pressure. However they said once I loose a few more pounds the blood pressure medicine is gone. I have not had a headache since surgery, and I am also reflux free YEA!!! So the journey starts to save my life. I can not Thank everyone at Scottsdale Bariatric enough. They are all my saviors.
