When I was a child, I found myself having to struggle with my weight. After graduation, I was about 240 lbs. My life turned tragic when I lost my fiance in a car wreck. With nothing to do but mourn and eat, I went into a depression and that is when my weight really started coming on. In 1994, I met my husband who also struggled with weight. We ate out alot and as the years went on, so did the weight. it wasn't until my mom had the gastric bypass surgury that I started to really consider what it could do for me. I made an appointment with Dr. Garber and he explained the surgury and the risks and benefits of the procedure. I thought to my self that if I did not try it, I was going to die sooner than I planned. I had the surgury and it was rough in the beginning but now, I have freedom again!! If I had to do it over again, I wouldn't even hesitate!!
