Am I really telling the world?
Aug 29, 2010
I can't believe I am actually going to write about me being over weight for the entire world to read!
Sept 7th will be my first meeting at the Bariatric Center to see if I qualify for the surgery - which I am positive I will. It's pretty obvious that I am at least 150lbs over weight.
In January I was put on medicine because I was told I have high cholesterol. I was shocked, mad and understood why. I mean how can one person be this much over weight and not have any problems like this? Doctor told me also that my blood pressure was high and he would give me a bit of time to get that down. I left the clinic and made adjustments right away. I took fast food out of my diet ASAP, removed the frozen dinner meals (Weight Watchers) from my fridge because of the salt. I bought an excercise bike and started on that. I rode it 5-6 times a week getting up to 45 minutes a day. I was pretty proud.....until I jumped on the scale. How could it be that I removed two "bad things" from my diet and add some excersise and nothing changes on the scale? Oh and I was even walking 15 minutes a day - 2 times a day - 5 days a week.
I am determined to do this. As of August 23rd - I have stopped drinking soda that has caffiene in it. Last week I started walking again on my breaks at work.
I know I can do this - I have the will power. I quit smoking on April 1 2009 after smoking for more than half my life. If I can quit smoking - which was harder than heck - I can do this. It will just take some time.
