Thank you to all for your wonderful support. I got out of the hospital Sunday night, and am doing better each day. I must say, the first day was pretty tuff, but I have a great supportive Wife, very supportive family and friends, and all of my supportive friends here at WLS. This site has been VERY helpful, thanks to all of you and Eric Klein. I will start updating my profile soon, this computer chair is pretty uncomfortable! THANKS AGAIN TO ALL!!!

Bill is almost a week out and doing great! This is his wife, Debby again and I have never been prouder of him! The first few days were rough as far as getting all his liquids and vitimans in but he is doing so much better with that. It just takes time. I think Bill could do without the taste of the liquid Tylenol and the liquid morphin... I think the medicine is worse than the pain! :) Bill has a wonderful support system, but I thank all of you too. The WISH Center was wonderful the first day we got home, as we had a ton of questions that were answered thanks to Mary! This website was also a life-saver the first night home, as we had a million more questions... after the WISH Center closed, and here on this site, the answers were only a click away and it helped put both our minds at ease to remember that we were not alone. Bill spent the first few days out of the hospital with me and when I headed back to work he headed up North to spend some time with his parents... I think he might never come back, as he is enjoying his walks and the lake view!!! LOL! Thanks to all of you and God bless!

Just a quick word of advise. Boost has a lot of sugar in it. My doctor does NOT recommend it. Some patients dump if they take it right after surgery. It's obvious his doctor approves and I am NOT a doctor so just please.....watch carefully after Bill drinks it!!! Best wishes and welcome to the losing side Bill! diane

Day 2 and Bill is going strong. This is his wife Debby again. Bill took water all day and walked over 30 laps around the hallway! He's tired but doing fine. He is using the pain medicine to help with some of the pain and he seems to be using it less and less as time goes by. Bill still has his sense of humor and we laughed a lot today, as he pulled up his shirt to show everyone who visited his 29 staples! Tomorrow he should start with the Boost and if all goes well, we are hoping he comes home tomorrow night. Again, we are grateful for everyone's support, and I am personally grateful for my husband's kind soul and brave heart. Best of luck to you all!
