" My family doctor referred me to Dr. Rashid. I have had surgery before with Dr. Rashid but never realized he did this bypass. When my husband and I met with Dr. Rashid, he said he has been doing this surgery since the 1980's but for other reasons (like cancer etc.) He and his nurse Elizabeth were very helpful and took the time to answer all my questions. I am so glad he will do my surgery. I am very confindent in him! He did surgery a few years ago on my dad for cancer in his intestine and dad is still cancer free. I am glad too because my family doesn't have to travel so far to be with me. I have already met with the dietician at TMH and am now waiting for my pretesting. My surgery is Novemeber 7 (much better than January 7).
