One Year Surgiversary!!

Yesterday marked my one year since I made one of the best decisions of my life! Words cannot describe how amazing I feel. I was so bottled up inside myself for so long, it feels so amazing to be able to be outgoing again, have confidence in myself, be active...... the list goes on and on! I have been a stay at home mommy for 7 years! I love being home with my boys but has since stepped out of my comfort zone and applied for a job and got it!! I work part time and can still be a mommy. But wow how great it feels to work with the public again! My boys & hubby are so supportive of this decision, as they could see I was just ready to get back out there! I could not have got through this last year without the love and support from my loving family and friends! Woo hoo!!! Life is GREAT!!

Today is the day that I feel AMAZING! I am 9 months post op from my RNY and although I have had this feeling before, it was derailed a little bit the middle of August. I found out I needed my gallbladder removed, I wasnt too concerned since I was able to have the same surgeon who did my RNY in Jan. 09 take it out! The ER I went to said I had stones and that the ultrasound showed it should come out, told me to find a surgeon. I already had one in mind :) He took that puppy out two days after I found out it need to come out. I recovered well from that surgery as well, but couldnt help but feel like it slowed me down a bit, I had two surgeries in 7 months I felt so tired and sluggish. But today is that turning point day, my energy is back and I feel amazing!! I even got into the smallest size jeans I have worn in about 14 years! My husband has never known me at the weight I am today. My surgery has been the best choice so far and I am excited to say I have lost 134 lbs!
