"Overall, I am satisfied with my experience. Some of the office staff were extremely helpful through my process. Dr. Suh is definitely all business. You must be prepared with your questions and he is happy to answer them but he's not the type to hold your hand. He seems very knowledgeable and experienced. I think that's more important than bedside manner when it comes to getting cut open. 6 months after my VSG I have lost 115 pounds and I'm very happy. Dr. Suh and his staff pushed for me to have the RNY originally but he did allow me to make my own decision after informing me of the different possible outcomes. He was very open with me about his complication rates etc. which I was kind of surprised about but I really appreciated. I would have liked a more strict and detailed meal plan and for a nutritionist or dietician to be provided at the facility but it wasn't a deal breaker. Let me also add that I paged Dr. Suh on New Year's Eve and 10:30 pm with an emergency and he called back within 10 minutes and even though I could hear that he was busy, he still answered all of my questions and seemed concerned. I wasn't expecting that. Overall, I wish the followup was better with Dr. Suh, but I think he's a great surgeon. It just seems like once you have surgery and your week and month follow up, you're kind of on your own. I'd still recommend him though because my progress is awesome and I think I have a great sleeve and I didn't have any complications. "
