Hello everyone! My name is Megan, I am 26 years old. I currently live in Orange Park, FL but I am originally from New Smyrna Beach, 2 hours south! I have been happily married to my hubby Jeff for 4 years now! I wouldn't trade him for the world!! He along with my little sister Kate are my biggest supporters! Kate is 22 years old and had WLS 2.5 years ago. She is my biggest inspiration. We have always battled our weight growing up and she was blessed to have her WLS first. Now its MY turn!! I am so excited! I have just started my "journey" and am still looking into different Dr's in my area. I was diagnosed with Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) 3 years ago along with Thyroid Disease. When I learned of these 2 hurtles I was in extreme shock but also semi relieved. I am very greatful to my GYN to have diagnosed me b/c these can be treated. Now, 3 years later and a lot of different trials of medications my blood work is coming back WNL. I am still struggling with my weigh however. If you know anything about PCOS it is like a "monster", I feel it will do anything in its power to work against you when you are trying to lose weight. Truthfuly, I am not sure how much I weigh as I have tiped the "normal" scales at the Dr's office. I'm excited to be on my way to gaining control back of MY life!
