To believe or not to believe

I've been having a tough time with the insurance company, but think we've finally got approval. The surgeon's office had a terrible time with them yesterday morning--an hour on the phone with no answer. By the time I called that afternoon I was told the surgery would be covered. I'm almost afraid to trust what I heard because we've had such difficulty getting responses from them. Soon I hope to be scheduling a date and getting this process started. Could it really be happening, finally?

Spoke with UHC yesterday; the appeal is officially under review according to Cindy. I should know within 30 business days (from 5/7/07). Hoping to stay on target for June surgery so I have the summer to heal and feel good.

I've been reading so many OH blogs for about a month now, and thought I'd finally jump in.
I'm pre-op, lap RNY, winding up paperwork for approval from insurance. I love the support I'm seeing here--so encouraging! I think it's given me a realistic view of what to expect and so much hope for a new me! Thanks everyone!
