Hi, my name is Jennifer Amato and I am like so many people on this site. I am 34 and have never been a "thin" person. I met my husband in Culinary School. I have loved food for as long as I can remember. I was one time called "THICK" by a co-worker. This made me think about what was going on in my life.
I tried all the diets out there. Weight Watchers, Weigh of Life, LA Weight Loss...on and on. I would lose, hit a flat spot and then gain it back and then some. I have my 2 beautiful daughters now. One is 5 and the other 8. I want to make sure I am around long enough to see them enjoy their lives and make me a grandma.
The other day my husband told me how much he loves me and wants me to be healthy. He was afraid he had upset me and he did but, for all the correct reasons. I NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT!!!
I am here to get opinions about Doctors, Hospitals and Procedures. So far this sight has been a help. I will update as plans change. Thank you all for your help.
OK, so I have finally found a surgeon and I am in the midst of testing for the vertical sleeve gastrectomy!
If all goes well, I will have ALL DR visits done by the end of this week & the letters of surgical recommendation will be on their way to Dr Neff's office. Once they get there, it is on to INS approval & to set a date! Please, any prayers would be appreciated! More details to follow! TY all for your reviews of docs. Makes research SO MUCH EASIER!
