"I was very disappointed in the treatment received by the nursing staff. I even spoke to the woman in charge of the floor I was on. Nurses say they will be right back and dont return for hours. When the shift changes you never know until you need something...they should make rounds and introduce themselves....try a little bed side manner courses. THANK GOD for Frankie the Med assistant....if it wasn't for him I would've had a horrible experience, he got me up and around, helped me whenever called upon. You may think my review is harsh, but I found that even after my complaining things hadn't changed. My friend went in for the same surgery, same floor two weeks later...she had the same exact complaints, down to the names of the nursing staff that could care less if you sat there for an hour with your IV alarm going off."

"I have not had my initial consult with Dr. Pomp yet, but I must say I am very impressed already! My original appointment was set for August 28th, but I am impatient...so I emailed Dr. Pomp asking to "squeeze" me in. Two days later he emailed me back to say he would see what he can do. Two days after that his PA Diana called me with an earlier date!!!! I can't wait to meet this man, I'm impressed already! I'll tell you more after my first visit. 6/25/02 Well I finally met Dr. Pomp today, he is everything I've heard...very informative, caring, compassionate and honest. I think I made the right choice. I've got to get a CPAP to deal with my Sleep Apnea and meet the nutritionist next week...I'm shooting for a Date in August. I did all of the rest of the required testing. Upper Endoscopy (real fun), met with the psychiatrist, sleep apnea test.....I can't believe I am going to do this."
