So I call my best friend of over 20 years to tell her I got approved and am having surgery on Dec. 31. I get no congrats, or I am happy for you. She says "I don't think this will make you happy". 
After my initial shock, I told her this is not all about being skinny, it is about being healthy. I want to be healthy and that will make me happy. I just could not believe it. I was so upset. I am not sure if she is jealous or what. Has anyone else had this problem?
