Jennifer, The losing inches verses weight and getting smaller is really neat. My doc explained it to me like this. Muscles are denser and take up less space in the body. They hold blood and water so weight of muscles is about the same as fat. Fat is fat and takes up more space in body. Many months I do not lose lbs but will show a significant inch loss.. I do water aerobics three times a week and it has really improved my muscle tone....yahoooo

Hi everyone. Just wanted to post to say that I am an official loser! I had surgery on Sept. 8, and all in all, I can't complain. I got right up in the hospital and started walking, and have continued steps to regain my independence. I am staying with mom right now, and she is really helping me out. Went to the surgeon yesterday and got staples and drain tube removed (yea!) Am down to 262 (starting weight was 285, and check out weight from hospital was 278.8). I have not been sick one time (knock on wood) and am tolerating everything I have eaten so far. The only real complaint I have is that my left back hurts really bad and my left rib hurts really bad. Probably from moving things around in there. Hospital stay was good--had wonderful nurses. Recovered from anesthesia really well. All in all, doing just fine. Can't wait until the discomfort is gone, but after all, it was surgery. Thanks for all of the prayers and words of encouragement. Will update regularly once I return to work.--Jennifer

Hi Jennifer, I wish you great surgery and a wonderful quick recovery. I ask God to bless you and all of the person's performing the surgery. I pray that you are not in any pain or discomfort. I also hope that you lose all of your weight that you want to and are successful at everything you do. Keep a positive attitude, listen to your surgeon's orders, stay motivated, and sincerely lose your pounds. Sincerely Losing Pounds, Brian G. Hurley
