My surgery date is Jan 15. I am excited about the surgery. Any information from post-op's is welcome. Hey,
1-22-03 I'm here. I'm sore but doing ok. I was at the hopsital 6 days. The day I was to leave my temp went up. They did test and I had a chest infesction. I have to take anitbotics for 7 days. Other than that I am home. Don't have much desire to eat. Well guese that was the point. Thanks for all the words of enouragement and Prayres!! Hugs/Kisses Joyce
1-27-03 I just had my first follow up. I am 12 days post-op and I have offically lost 15 pounds forever! I went from 237 to 223 YIPPY! I am doing great. I have got my desire to eat back. I told my doctor that I was hungrey on the liquid diet so he moved me onto purred foods. I had some mushed tuna and felt really satisfied. Take care Joyce
1-29-04 I am long overdue for updating. I am 137 pounds. I have lost 101 pounds. I am in a siz 6. When I started this journay over a year ago, I would have been happy if I got into a 10 or 12. This has exceeded my exceptations. Things are great. I have a new job. I am dating, which I hadn't done in years. I love the reaction I get when I see people who have not seen me in a long time. I will be posting my before and after pictures soon.
7-7-04 Hi All! I just wanted to say hi and that I am doing well. I am down to 129 pounds. I can fit in to a size 4. I have a new job. I work in the film industry, its great. My job is sending me to South Beach next week for 4 days. Had I not had this surgery, I would not have been able to walk around Miami in hot sun with out being tired or out of breath or just plain embarrassed by my size. Thanks Dr. Holtgen and your staff.
