"I have not had surgery yet, but I attend regular appts. with Dr. B., and also attend his support group meetings monthly which are also located at MCD. It is an excellent hospital from what I can see. They are very good about having a wheelchair ready when you get there if you call 30 minutes ahead (I have to call on the road, as I live in Ft. Worth), but the wheelchair isn't always built for the "super obese", but only extra wide enough for 300-400 pound persons. I weigh aprox. 600 pounds but hold my weight well, so I can squeeze into the chair. There are larger chairs available, but you must request an "extra extra wide super obesity chair" for them to get the messege. Even then they are not always available. But all in all, every single staff member is very attentive and respectful. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone considering WLS."
