"What a pretty face," Are those Real!!" I can't love you if you're fat".... I've heard all that crap in the past 8 years. As much as I want to tell myself and you that I didn't/don't care... I did. It affected me to the deepest core. So here I sit, 7 days post op, drain free and 21lbs lighter!!! (My surgeon was psyched!!) I'm exstatic! I've been heavy for most of my adult life, and I learned that no matter how good I am, I still have to fight the demons of self and cultural expectations! I'm curvy, voluptious, etc etc...That was all fine and good, till I was diagnosed with EXTREME fatty liver desease, and insulin resistant diabetes. Not too mention, I am SO damn tired of carrying around all this extra luggage!! lol Fact is, I could use some new friends, who understand the frustration, pain, and changes that you go through with this surgery!
