"The Seminar of Great Lakes Weight Loss Center was great. I was hoping to have Laker there, but ended up with Webber. Weiner is Laker's cousin. Anyways, I did have consultation with Laker (who was referred to me by my own doctor Cooper, and my GYN Salsen in West Bloomfield). My feeling on his professional behavior put me at ease, the staff was wonderful. I had my RnY Lap Gastric Bypass on 3/16/10 at Harper Hospital. I go today for my first post op check up to have the drainage tube removed. I am 50 yrs old, I was 358.6 lbs going into surgery. I ended up with 6 small incisions, and the drainage tube to watch how things were healing. I was released on the 18th after instructions and seeing Marty the dietician/nutritionist. I am writing my journey on facebook under Jean How (D. Jean How) if you want to follow along. But Dr Scott Laker was in my own feelings, the best choice I ever had in bariatric surgeon. Always follow through from other doctors that work with you to see what their impression is on the work and professional ethics of another. I would highly recommend this doctor if you are considering bariatric surgery."
