9 weeks post-op
Nov 30, 2007
Surgery went amazingly well. I had virtually NO pain post-op. The morphine made me a little ill, though. To me the most difficult time was the first 2 weeks after surgery---the full liquid diet was tough to get down. As soon as I started on real food things were much improved. I have lost a total of 29 pounds since surgery and that is with TWO stalls of 2-3 weeks. I am in the second stall now---not fun but I know from the RNY forum that this is normal. I am happy with my weight loss since I am a so-called lightweight and I know my weight loss will be relatively slow.
As for food, I can eat pretty much anything. More than just a couple of tastes of high fat or sugar makes me feel nauseous, but I have not "dumped". I do have to watch the sugar alcohols as well.
Overall I feel great and am thrilled with my RNY!!!
