Having some problems
Aug 10, 2009
I have been going to physical therapy for over a month now and I feel like I have gained muscle but my weight is not going down. Yesterday I gained 5 pounds over night. I hate retaining water before my cycle because I feel horrible. How do you curve that hunger, I sometimes eat more than I should and I am so lucky i have not gotten sick yet. I am sure my doctor is going to give me another fill so then I will only be able to get down liquids. I am trying to not get so frustrated.

Trying to work the band
May 05, 2009
I am five months out and i am doing ok. I have been walking a lot and my weight has been doing a balancing act. On the weekend I weigh one thing and during the week something else. I just want to get out of the 260's and start on the 250's. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. I can't do to much strenuous stuff because I have a hurt back from a car accident since september and it is very frustrating. I want to do more but I can't untill the doctors know what is wrong and how to treat it. Well until then I will be fighting the bulge.

Fill
Feb 19, 2009
Finally I got my first fill. I was suppose to get one 10 days ago but the person was having a hard time locating the port. They had to use a very large needle but he put in 3cc's or what ever it is called into my port. I am taking it slow because I do not want to get sick. I have been walking 5 days a week building up each week so next week will be two miles a day 5 days a week. I also lost 8 pounds in 10 days!!!! I am working the band instead of it working me.

I am trying
Dec 30, 2008
I am starting to feel my band and sometimes it is uncomfortable. My relationship with food mentally has been challenging since I can only eat so much. My stomach says I am full but my eyes see food still on the plate that needs to be eatten. The drinking and eating things is hard. I went to a resturante for the first time over the weekend and I accidently ordered a drink, so I gave it to my husband and got frustrated with him because he did not drink it fast enough (weird) I think because I wanted it but could not have it. I ordered a sandwich plain with no bread and a baked potato instead of french fries. I had a few bites of the potato and most of the buffalo chicken breast, it was good but I was not use to having food still left on my plate, and I would have dessert afterwards sometimes, no more. I am going to get through this with a lot of praying.

Starting the heal
Dec 16, 2008
I am happy that I am able to sleep more comfortably in my bed, before I had to sleep sitting up or in a recliner in the living room. It is weird seeing my body change so fast with loosing the weight. I am keeping up with my vitamins and protein because I do not want to loose muscle or my hair. This has been a strange, difficult but good journey that will be well worth it in the end. I tell you I will be needing a tummy tuck and breast reduction and lift at the end of this process because gravity is cruel!!! Well I don't plan on having anymore children so I deserve to look good my body is not theirs anymore to take and destroy. Word of advise If I can hang in there so can you.

I had my surgery and I am doing ok mentally and physically. I weight myself the day before surgery and I weighted 267. I have not seen that number since my son has been born and he is six years old. I started out at 304 and did the liquid diet for two weeks of Opti fast and lost 37 pounds. Now I don't know how much I weight now but I will find out on the 19th of December and update.
OMG!!!

Tomorrow is the big day and I am soooo scared. I did the sleep study with the CPAP and I don't like it, I am more tired with it then without it. Well this is the last full day with a whole stomach.
Sleep Apnea
Dec 03, 2008
I am a true believer that things happen for a reason. I am glad that I decided to get the WLS because I would of never had the tests done that was required of me before the surgery including the sleep study. I just found out that I have moderate to severe sleep apnea and high proxemia, in other words I could die in my sleep any day. It is weird that the only symptom I had was snoring.
For the first time in my life I am scared for my life, I always said if I am going to die I want to die in my sleep and now I am starring it in the face. Now I have to have my surgery with a CPAP machine and be on it for 6 months, I say what ever it takes to save my life then so be it. If things go well with the surgery then I am starting my life fresh and doing things differently then I have been doing for the past 5-6 years. Lap Band here I come!!!!
Things are getting better

Well I am almost done with all of my medical test so that I can be ready for this surgery. I started this opti fast stuff OMG!!!!!! Why!!!
I want regular food I am glad that they are allowing me to have thanksgiving thank god. I can't wait until the surgery because that is when I will be off of the opti fast, I see why this stuff makes you loose weight. Well let me stop complaining, I am making a big life style change and when I am 100 lbs lighter I will thank myself but until then I will be praying to Jesus every hour and asking him why.
