20 Months post op

Well Cant beleive it is almost two years, I feel so good and much better about myself. I am pretty much past my goal twice
but will keep loosing as long as I can. I would like to have Plastics but will have to wait longer till can save enough money and possible after kids are gone. I am  not to unhappy with the way I look have seen alot worse, My tummy has some skin not enough to cause me any problems to where if I did have insurance it would pay, would like to get my boobs done since really dont have any left, and the loose skin between my upper legs my batwigs which have gotten so much better than they were before, but if I could only do one it would be my stomache. Probley just a tummy tuck would be enough.
I would not have changed the decision I made to have this surgery for anything it has truely improved my life.

Well it is past the one year, and I feel great, Cant beleive the difference. I have so much more confidence in myself and am not out of breath all the time. I enjoy doing things with the kids and my husband where before it was such an effort to even get up ,and to do housework was tiring. I still get a little light headed when I do too much, but I am ashamed to say I do not take my vitiamins regulary and dont drink water like I should. But I am still loosing more so inches than pounds lately but I am still amazed at how my clothes fit, I can just find my size and buy it with out trying it on and know it fits.

Well here it is one year out and I feel amazing. I would not have changed my decision for anything,
Well I am down to a size 8/10 and down to 157 pounds. I feel wonderful I love working out ( most of the time) I am outside so much more with the kids, I was so excited about going to look for a bathing suit this year. I actually wore the same suit for 10 years still looked new tells you how often I went in the sun. Now i bought 2 this year and am tan as can be. ( started off at the salon). My kids think it's great, not to mention my husband is wonderful. I feel like my old self again.

So I need to update more often but it is hard findiing the time. But this has been a wonderul year for me and my family.

Well i had not been feeling well for about 2 weeks finally broke down and my husband took me to Er on Tuesday evening got fluids for hydration( and Md cut out a infected ingrown toenail) went home and my surgeon phoned the next day that I needed to go back to hospital for more hydration on thursday . So spent the day thursday in hospital getting fluids 3 bags LR, 1 vit, 1NS. surgeon had a talk with me about my fluid intake and protein. My husband has been encouraging me to get this in, he has been so helpful goes shopping with me every week and he reads EVERY label I am so glad he is standing behind me and helping me get through this. I am startting to exercise more and am not as winded as I used to be walking. I am getting my water in that is the hardest thing for me but i Have to cut out all other drinks except my protein shakes to do this, I hope it gets easir with the water I do not want to get dehydrated again.

I am down to 228 this week was 274 day of surgery, my pants are fitting much looser, my boobs are sagging and getting much smaller though hate that. I am seeing excess skin on my arms ( batwings as everyone calls them on OH) but I would do this again in a heart  beat, I just have to remind my self to make good food choices I do  not want to be a FAT girl again.

Wow the time is flying I am back at work , Took a office Nursing job so i could go back 1 week early not to mention the pay is almost 5.00 per hr more. I can see patients on the weekends or after work to keep my skills up. It is a Home Health Agency.
I weighed today and am down to 239lbs WOW I am excited I am out of 240's and just last week I was excited to be out of 250's. I am eating mostly soup still and cheese sticks, yougurt, beans, I have tried chicken 3 times and vomited 2x so no more chicken. I was able to eat RUdys brisket, potatoe salad and I can eat a chalupa with beans and cheese and hot sauce, All of these are mimimal amounts. I am trying to drink as much water as I can.
I am walking 1.5 miles 5 days a week, need to up it next week and do more weight training. I can really tell by the way the clothes fit me I have bought a few new shirts, still keep the pants I have fit into a pair i bought 2 yyrs ago and never wore they are all baggy,
I have a neck again not a double neck. I am happy about my progress and cant wait to continue with loosing the weight.

Well lost 5 more lbs this week down to 250 lbs will measure tonite when hubby gets home. I was wanting to be in the 240's but my husband says I am doing well and loosing right on plan. I go today to fill out all my updated information about my new job I am taking back to office position the hours and days will be better for my family plus the pay is better. I am excited about getting back to work just not sure when the start date is. The hardest thing about being home post op is there is so much I would like to do here at the house but limited by my post op restrictions ( bending, lifting,etc...)
I was excited I have worn shorts that I havent in a few years d/t the inches I have lost.
I am so glad I had this surgery and hope I will begin to see my life change for the better, no more shortness of breath, being able to walk without pain in feet etc...

Well will update more on the journey and my measurements soon,.

Well I have been cleared for all my preop labs and stuff and will be at the hospital on Monday my friend Leigh and my mom will go with me there. I am sure my husband will prob come and see me with the kids maybe I guess I need to see if they allow kids on the floor. What is so funny is the rooms for hte bariatrics were the old rooms for labor and delivery and I had my kids there. I remember when they were prepping me for the c-section with my twins catheter and Iv's my husband was out on the balcony , the only difference now is the balcony is locked so you cant go out there I wish it wasnt that would have been nice to get some fresh air an sunshine.
Well I went and bought the vitimins today but didnt get a chewable iron so guess I will see if the bariatric advantage I saw at the docotors office has some.
THe OMG i am having surgery hasnt set in yet but I am sure it will over the weekend. I know I probably will not be able to sleep on Sunday and will be on teh pot all day with the clean out the give you to take.

The best part is I think my husband is actually going to be on board with me for this and support me we had a really good talk this morning (things have been rough lately but I guess every marriage goes through this) But I feel a since of calm nowing he will be there for me.
