Well, my story goes like this.  I have been overweight my entire life since I was like 5. Obesity is on both sides of my family!  I have done all the diets. I went to Jenny Graig lost 60lbs once but it always comes back. I love to exercise and be active but I'm so tired all the time that I'm not doing much of anything. So I have the oppurtunity to have gastric bypass so I'm going to take it and hope to reclaim my life and be a rolemodel for my daughter who is overweight at the age 11. I'm hopeful I can show us both the way to a healthy lifestyle!

Surgery went well, I went in on monday and went home wednesday.  I feel my recovery from the surgery has went well. The 4th will be one week post-op. I'm still swollen but have been rather active since coming home.  My left side hasn't given me any trouble, in fact I can sleep on my sides with no problems. However, I did sleep in the recliner for 2 days after surgery.  I do continue to have a constant pain about 2inches above my belly button. I do feel like I have an emptyness in my stomach all the time. Hopefully that will pass. Otherwise I feel good, been walking a few miles a day since saturday.
