My surgery has been sent for auth and approved! I have blue shield of CA and it only took them 5 days to authorize! They are amaze! My surgery is scheduled for December 27th and I am soooo excited! I was googling what to pack in my bag for the hospital stay..any one have good suggestions? or advise? :)

SO I just had my 5th month supervised diet visit with my doc..my next and LAST appt is December 2nd and I have already talked to my doctor, he will send out the auth that day! I'm soooooo excited! cant wait cant wait cant wait!!!!!

So with my insurance I have a huge deductible, which I am hoping to have met by the end of November..I am soooo hoping for  a December Surgery Date! In December my 6 month diet will be up, and in January my deductible starts over again (6k) wowza! so I have already talked to my doctors office and they said they would try to push me through in December. I'm crazy excited...I have blue cross ppo through work for medical insurance so I am hoping they will process the claim fast..Has anyone else had experience with Blue Cross? I have heard that they process claims quickly. My doctors office doesn't take payments either for deductibles..it has to be completely paid before they will schedule me. I thought that was a little funny, I've never been to a doctor that makes you pay up front...don't they usually have to bill the insurance first? And then you pay what the insurance did not?? Any advice guys??? Thanks -J

So I just had my second appointment (supervised diet) with my doctor...I have to do a 6 month medically supervised diet before my insurance will authorize my surgery! This waiting is driving me crazy!!! I look at everyone on here and am soooo inspired, I can't wait to be where you guys are! Everyday I am on here reading your storys, looking at your pictures, wow I am so impressed! Did anyone else have to do a supervised diet?
