Well, I did it! I survived 15 days of clear liquids. The crazy thing is, I was never hungry...not even a little bit, not even at all! It was head that played games with me...but I prevailed! I've lost 18 pounds since my surgery and I couldn't be happier!
OR could I???
I FINALLY got to eat a scrambled egg with FF cheddar chees this morning. Let me rephrase that, I ate 1/2 of a scrambled egg...but oh was it delicious! I'm having some canned chicken mixed with Smart Balance mayo for lunch...mmmmmmm. It's funny how 2 weeks without food will make you appreciate the simple things.
Another odd observation...I found myself watching the clock waiting until I could drink again (1 hour). I thought I would be completely over the fluid phase but I was actually parched feeling by the 60 minute mark.
Anyone who is even entertaining the idea of this surgery, DO IT!!!!
