Well, I had the band done in 2004 and at that time my weight was about 350 and by 2005 my weight was down to 263 and then I had a busted appendix and walked around with that for 3 days before the pain was unbearable and went to emergency in Ogden Utah General and they opened me up to remove all the infection. In the process, they deflated the band and it slipped up around the esophagus and I had to have all the saline removed. Since then, I have gained back additional pounds and I now weigh about 310 lbs. and waiting on word for my surgery date to have the RNY bypass done. I expect the bypass to be done in early June 2008. My BMI is approx 46..
LAP RNY was done on 30 May, 2008 at Fairfax Inova Hospital at 1300 Hours--weight before surgery was 310 lbs.
