I had my lap. gastric bypass surgery at 7:30 am, monday 5-14-07.  Everything went very  well.  I came to in the recovery room and of course was really out of it because of the pain medicine they give you.  It seemed like I was only there for a short time and then they brought me up to my room.  When I saw my husbands face I knew everything was good!  He had a smile on his face.
I was in and out most of the day, but my husband was by my side. He truly is my rock and I am so blessed to be married to my best friend! That night I really didn't use much pain medicine and when I woke in the morning I could think so much clearer.  I really wasn't in any pain just a little discomfort when I would go and sit up or try to get up but that's to be expected after  just having surgery.  I sipped little bits of water and walked the floor 6x on tuesday.  Wednesday felt even better and continued to walk and had sugar-free jello, a sugar-free popcycle, a small amount of broth and crystal light. Lunch was the same and walked some more, took a shower and felt really good.  Was discharged at 2:15 p.m.

I'm home now and just taking things slow. Trying to get my protein in and of course my walking.  :)
