Day 3 Post Op

3 days post op today. I came home and napped! I was chilly all afternoon, DH was sweating as he ran about taking care of me and getting ready for church. 2 grand babies came to tuck me in bed as they all left for church! I bruise very very easily and difficult to stick for blood or IV. I believe heparin didn't help this, my arms are a bruised mess. The IV for surgery ended up in my left muscle about 4 inches down from my shoulder. When I seen my surgeon on Wednesday I asked him who I slugged, he mentioned wrestling me for a vein. Dr. Boynton was wonderful. So far so good here. No problem here with a natural BM after a cup of coffee. Everything is progressing well so far, I have to attempt 40 ozs today! Between protein shakes, water & broth. I'm not remotely hungry or interested on food. The goal is: To put in my body enough to keep me strong, functional & healthy. Sent from JLS iPhone
