So... I'm new to the WHOLE weight loss surgery thing. It's something I've been thinking about for quite some time. I know a few people who've had it, and they've been very successful. Now, it's my turn! Like everyone here I've been in a strong battle with my weight since I was about 13. It seemed almost like puberty hit me and so did the weight. At one point in my adult life, I had jeans in my closet ranging from sizes 16-24!!! That's crazy!! I guess a person can only do the ups and downs of the roller coaster so much before feeling sick and that's where I am right now. At this point, I should be the happiest woman in the world. I just got married to an AMAZING man, who does not deserve the miserable depressed person I've become. It's time to take my life back into my own hands, and experience the things I've been putting off because of shame and fear. I don't know where to start with this whole thing, but I think I've already made the first step with making the decision to explore WLS, I guess the next step is to find a doctor. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
