It takes me forever to get around to things.  For instance, starting this blog.  I had my first appointment with Dr. Moon back in October and it went really really well. He told me he wanted me to get my BMI under 50 before he would do the surgery so I've been working really hard at that (oh the holidays!!) Then I had to have a physical with his Nurse Practitioner, Angie, also really nice.  The nutritionist, the social worker..all that stuff...and now I'm doing what I'll call the dance of the professionals as I go around getting tested to be medically cleared for the surgery,  So far so good, I guess.  I've had the stress test and I think I passed.  I've got two more docs to see and then everything goes off to the insurance company.

But here's the rub.  I've got pretty bad arthritis in my knees.  I had arthroscopy on my right one a couple of years ago.  Now my left knee is acting up really bad and I'll find out next Tuesday if I have to have surgery on that one too.  So I may be having another surgery before I get the lap band and it's driving me a little bit nuts.

I'm not doing a good intro and I'm sorry about it.  I'm really tweaky right now with all of the doctor stuff.
