 I know its been a while since I last updated, but I`ve had some computer problems and lost contact with the "outside world".  Halloween day was my three month check up with the Dr. He says everything looked great, all my blood work came back normal. I still just take a flintstone chewable vitamine and a calcium tablet a day. I`m living off chicken salad and soup. Chicken is the only meat that I can eat and not get sick. It has to be shreaded meat then. Life style has changed in a major way too. I hate to eat at all. I have to make myself eat. I`ll update my pictures soon. Oh, I have lost 81 lbs in three months. I feel Great!!!!!!!!

Well I did it.  I got to come home this afternoon.  Surgery was Monday morning and last about 3 1/2 hours. I have been really sore and haven't felt good today.  They had me up walking 8 hours after surgery. I didn't start liquids until late in the afternoon on Tuesday.  When they brought in a 2 oz cup of lime green jello and said that was my "MEAL" I thought my wife would fall over laughing.  She could not believe that was all I would be getting.  Yep, I licked the bowl and the lid!!  The worst part was that your throat is so dry and sore from the surgery and you can't have anything to drink, only ice chips, until you have your upper GI to make sure there are no leaks.  I have done well with my food (ha-ha) and have not been sick at all.  Well it is time for my 2 oz of chicken broth.   I will try to post more later. 

Well, it`s just about that time. Ain`t it strange how all this time I`ve been waitin on the 30th, now it`s almost here, and I`m as Nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rockin chairs!! It`s all goin to workout,I just dread the hospital stay. I HATE those places.

WOW - Just 8 more days to surgery.  I ain't skeered but I would be a liar if I said I was not getting a little nervous.  I am worried about how I will handle the "head hunger" everyone talks about and not being able to drink with my meals.  We went out to eat at a steak house last night and I drank a pitcher of tea with my meal.  I am committed to making this work so I will figure out a way to make it work.

I got my aproval from BC/BS, and a surgery date of July 30. Yep, I have to be in Decatur,at Parkway Medical, at 5am. There was 5 test on the lab work, that for some reason was not done. Dr.Suggs says that`s common, anyway, I took care of that today. I can`t help it,  I`m so EXCITED!!!!!!21 more day`s.

I finally finished the seven month visits and all my labs. The visit to the coo-coo Dr. went well, I thought they might keep me. I recon I got all my ducks in a row, just waitin on a surgery date.

2/16/07   Dr. visit again.  Third month visit, I lost 5lbs. since last month. My insurance requires a 6 month physicians diet program before they will cover the surgery.
