I had my first official visit with Dr Quinlin today. I like him alot. I also met with the dietician. We got the ball rolling so now I need to go thru the psych evaluation and other testing required. I'm on my way!! Yahoo!!! I have to say I'm finding it a little disappointing that no one has answered or responded to my first posting. I was hoping for more info. I'll keep trying tho. I need to figure out how to contact people directly too. ok, gotta go...I'll keep you updated!!
Hi All! Well, today is 10/21/06 and I am waiting for my first appt which is on Nov 3. I am 100 lbs overweight and I feel like this is my last chance. I've tried everything. I feel like if I don't get this done, next year by this time I'll be another 50-100 lbs more than I am now.
I am scared that I'll be turned down by my insurance company. I am a little scared about the surgery itself because I've read alot of journals on here where people have had many problems resulting in more surgeries. I want to be the "star" case (doesn't everyone?).
I would welcome any/all responses with advice, setbacks, input of any kind. As much as I want to lose the weight, I want to make sure this is RIGHT for me.
That's all for now, can't wait to hear from you! Please be as open, honest and graphic as you want...I don't want anything sugar-coated. Thanks a bunch!!
