Joanne: I too am having lap band surgery with Dr. Barba. My surgery is scheduled for 2/8. Best of luck to you. Keep in touch.

Your Dad should check out this website. Maybe it will make him feel better. Maybe not. My parents still can't believe I did this. They think I'm crazy even though it has been nothing but successful for me. Bottom line is you have to make this decision alone. You can't be forced into it or deterred by others who just can't understand your struggle. I wish you the best!
