"Dr. Fernandez is very warm and understanding and I have the greatest respect for him as a surgeon. His program is very well established and has great follow up with the psychiatrist and the nutritionist. Both surgical competence and bedside manner are superb. He even called me the day after my surgery to see how I was doing. The only pitfall is that he is obviously very busy and the only surgeon who does the surgery at the Hospital and I wish that I would have had more time to talk with him. If his bedside manner was not as good as it was, him being in a rush would have turned me off in a big way. This is a huge decision/life altering surgery and patients deserve and need alot of attention throughout the process. His staff is wonderful and that also helps make up for his rush."
