"I met with Dr.Llorente on May 28, 2002. What a wonderful man! He was so caring and understanding...my first impression of him was of trust and faith. Everyday that I get my things together for the insurance approval, the more my admiration grows for his whole staff. Everyone there treats me like I'm their only patient.....what a change from my previous experience. I'm hoping to get an approval by the end of this month.......we'll see how it goes. He has thoroughly explained the whole post-op and pre-op program. It's a little scary, but I need to know everything so that I'm mentally prepared for this. This 'tool' is a lifelong change. I'm up for it! As soon as I get a surgery date, I'll update. August 2, 2002 I had my surgery on 7-29-02. i ended up having it open, which i anticipated because of some previous surgery i've had. I've been home a little over a day and i feel ok. I'm not 100% but I feel better than I expected. My Dr. is so terrific! He is so warm and gentle. i really like him. "
