Feel so alone

I don't know why but I feel so alone . My wife I am not sure she wants me have this done or not keeps telling all these little things that other people who have had the surgery are having problems with such as one person still cannot eat beef . She says she wants to have the surgery done but she does not want to do the tests the Docs says she needs and she will not quit smoking . I have a tentive date of 09/12/11 may happen sooner . Is she worried I will lose the pounds and leave her we have been married 18 years .

Well where do I start ?
I like lists lets try that :
Brief medical history:
10 heart caths since age 40
2 stints in the RAC 6inches apart
sleep apnea (over 100 times an hour )
Back surgery
gall bladder removed
Type2 diabetic on an insulin pump
the left kidney due to cancer
I had a visit with my cardiologist in Jan. and at that time I told that I wanted a gastric By-pass he said would support me 100 % .
Requested an info pack from Georgetown Barometric center last JAN .completed and returned .
Jan 29Th (wedding anniversary) 1st clinical appointment .
Feb.8Th everything starts going wrong real wrong after attending a meeting for the surgery I go to pick up my wife get there and have to use the restroom this the start of the wrong part of the day I passed just about pure blood (oh crap)
tell my wife about it . we decide I go to the doc in the morning
Feb9Th I get up and pass pure blood again (oh crap) So I take the wife to work and go see the doc after a brief exam and a urine test I am told it's either stones or infection here is a script of antibiotics see you later .
Feb10Th Up at 0430 with massive pain in my side I try and go back to sleep at about 0500 I am back up or should I stay still up ,time to wake the wife I tell her I am passing stones so we need to go to the ER so after getting ready and such we are there by 0630 after an exam I m sent for a CT scan that's when we find out I have a mass on my left kidney .Another CT scan and Chest x-ray it's confirmed I have a mass .
Feb 11Th We see the urologist and the plan of attach is a partial removal if possible if not complete removal of the kidney surgery is set for the 15Th .
FEB 14Th preop testing and making all the needed calls for STD and such
Feb15Th surgery day everything goes fine but... they have to take the whole kidney .... it was stage 3 kidney cancer damn damn .
Fast forward
May 25Th checkup the Urologist Great NEWS everything is clear just need 6Th follow ups for the next 5 years and he gave me the green light to continue on Th

June 8Th 2ND clinical with the baratric center all is good waiting on insurance approval
