Krankenhaus Sachsenhausen

"The hospital is in downtown Frankfurt so its very busy, but the rooms are adequate and the staff more than made up for anything the room may have been lacking."

Rudolf Weiner

"Dr Weiner (who spoke excellent English, Thank God!) was a very nice man. He went through every process in detail and has experience in this kind of thing. Being overseas working for the US gov just kind of puts a monkey wrench in trying to get medical things done. But Germany is awesome when it comes to medical care. I am actually going to have to be in the hospital for a total 6 days. I go in the day before surgery for all my pre-op exams and the stuff you have to drink, etc. Right after surgery you spend the next 24 hours in ICU then you are moved up to the ward for another 4 days. Germans tend to believe in keeping you in the hospital for a lot longer than Americans. I am seeing the American hospital nutritionist and family care doctor for my aftercare. I will have to travel to Frankfurt at 1 month, 3-6-9-12 month anniversaries for checkups with the surgeon."
