I am a married mom of three boys!
I am like most of you and have struggled with my weight since I was in junior high school.  I Have dieted and starved myself to up and down up and down, until now I am at my highest weight ever!  I didn't even weigh this when I was 9 months pregnant with any of my kids.
I am finally at that point where I realize I cannot do it on my own, and what I have been doing is not working anymore.  I have decided with the support of my husband and family to move forward and try for the surgery!
I have Blue Cross PPO and am hoping that approval for GB will go smoothly with them, and that they wont string me along.
Although I am really excited at the thought that this dieting, and food thing...will finally be over, I am scared to death about having surgery:)  My last blood test/check up hit me with a nice blow.....I have high chol.  Did I mention i'm only 37!  I'm way to young to start falling apart now!  I want to be healthy for the first time in my life and i'm praying that this all will work out!
I am here to meet new friends and share the journey with someone like me!!!

Re-connecting again with OH. I am almost 10 yrs post op and have maintained below goal weight consistantly.  No meds and feeling great. Love to help others farther out in the journey that may be struggling.  I have many friends who have had the surgery and have had such a hard time, and others have had re-gained their weight back.  Love to help ya'll.  My biggest piece of advice...when you are struggling DONT GIVE UP and go back to basics like you did in the begininning post op.
