Oh Happy Day!! Jan 17th!!

OK..I feel as though I should just erase all that I have posted, since in a way I am staring all over again!!! I wish I would of took this road in the first place. I met with Dr Karl Leblanc this morning for a new consult, since I have had so many let downs by my previous surgeon. But at any rate, all I can say is WOW!! He is a hoot!! What a down to earth man!! I felt as though I was talking to one of my buddies and not a Dr in a white lab coat!! We didnt really have to discuss much, as I have been through this before, and I knew what I wanted and so did he so we were on the same page. He laughed when I told him of the things I already knew about him..I said well I did my homework! But anyhow, he is so ready to get the ball rolling and get me in for my surgery!! I know now this is where I need to be!!! I felt so confident with him, he was straight to the cut, no frilly BS...and I like that in a man!!! So anyhow, he will now be my new Surgeon!! I loved his staff, they were all so nice especially Amy...Then the office manager even came out to introduce herself to me..how great is that, when the office manager takes time out to come and say hello..its like to make friends, and not just to take your money kinda thing....I loved it!! my day was wonderful!!! Well we were gonna try and get all of my preop stuff from Dr Bellangers, but ya know what, they probably dont even know where the charts are with all their screw ups...heck my stuff might still be in a box at Vista for all I know...hehehe So we are gonna do all pre op testing again...which to me is best!!! Start with a clean slate and move forward!!!! No looking back after today!!! I am glad I dont have to do the psych eval again..hehehe so thats a goo thing...I do my upper GI monday the 21st!! I did all my labs today..Then I meet with their nut and the rest is history!! Amy said she will NOT give me a date until its set in stone!! Amen sister!!! She knows how many times I have been cancelled so she will be sure that it wont happen again!! I feel much safer about having this done at theLake also, as the staff their has done RNY before, this aint there first rodeo!!! So with all that said, I am a happy camper!!! Thanks to Ms Faye and Ms Frances...My angels who guided to seek Dr Leblancs office!! And I am so glad I did!! I luv you gals for that!!! Until later..just wanted to post my happy feelings for today!! Gotta go cook the hubby supper!!! Have a blessed evening dear OH friends!!

MY SURGERY IS CANCELLED ONCE AGAIN!!! WTF??!?? I CALLED AT DR BELLANGERS OFFICE TO FIND OUT WHEN I SEE HIM BEFORE MY SURGERY. THEY SAID THERE WAS SOME MISTAKE THAT MY SURGERY WAS CANCELLED UNTIL MARCH... THEY DIDNT EVEN OFFER AN APOLOGY..THEY HAVE MOVED TO A NEW HOSPITAL AND GETTING THE STAFF PREPARED FOR THE BYPASSES. THEY ARE DOING SLEEVES FIRST, THEN NEXT MONTH THE BANDS, THEN MARCH THE BYPASSES...I SUPPOSE ITS FOR MY OWN GOOD THAT THE STAFF BE PREAPRED!! THEY NEED TO GET THERE OFFICE STAFF TOGETHER...THEY SHOULD OF NOT CALLED ME AGAIN WITH A DATE IF THEY WASNT FOR SURE ABOUT THIS...I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH DR KARL LEBLANC TOMARROW AND I THINK I WILL JUST START THIS WHOLE JOURNEY OVER WITH HIM AND NOT LOOK BACK....ITS JUST ANOTHER LET DOWN..I FEEL AS THOUGH IS THIS A SIGN FROM GOD OR WHAT??

WOW!!!! WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKES!! GOT THE GOLDEN TICKET THIS MORNING!!! THE SURGEONS OFFICE CALLED AND I HAVE A DATE!!!!!!!!! 
YES I HAVE A DATE!!!! IT WILL BE JANUARY 24TH 2008!!! THIS WILL BE MY YEAR!!!! I KNOW MORE THAN EVER THAT I NEED THIS TOOL TO GET MY LIFE BACK!!! PLEASE KEEP ME IN YOUR PRAYERS !! GOD HELP ME THROUGH THIS!!

to get my mind off the negative things at this point and time, and think of some positive things that I want when I can FINIALLY have my day!!! 
1. To be able to get prego!! NOT YET
2. To cross my legs!! DONE!!!
3. Not have to worry if the seat belt will fit in a friends car!! DONE!!!
4. Go on a roller coaster ride!!
5. Not be laughed and stared at!! DONE!!!
6. Shop for normal size clothes at any store my heart desires!! ALMOST!!!
7. To sit in a lawn chair!! DONE!!!
8. To have a jaw bone again!! DONE!!!
9. To have better health!! DONE!!!
10. No more high blood pressure!! DONE!!!
11. No more back pains!! DONE!!!
12. Paint my own toe nails!! DONE!!!
13. Go to the beach!! DONE!!!
14. Take a cruise!!
15. Go horse back riding again!!
16. Run!!
17. Sit on the floor and be able to get up without holding on to something! DONE!!!
18. Not have numb hands and feet anymore!! DONE!!!
19. Sit on my husbands lap! DONE
20. Hell id like to even have a lap!!! lol DONE!!!
21. Fit comfortable in the movies!! DONE!!!
22. Not have to worry if I will break someones chairs!!

Well Happy New Year to Everyone!! I am still waiting in limbo!! Havent heard anything from my surgeons office!! I am getting nervous again!! Is this a sign from God that maybe I should not have this done??? Why is that I have to have the worst luck in the world??? When will things ever go my way??? IF only I could of had my surgery already, just think I would be already over a month out!!! I was hoping my new year wouldnt start out like this and so far it has, go figure!!! They are in the process of establishing a new surgery center. Possibly starting surgeries again on the week of the 21st!! The holidays have come and gone and so did 10 extra pounds, well not the gone part on that...
Have you ever wanted something so bad, and its almost in your grasp, then in an instant it slips away????????????

Just wanted to update things a bit..Last time I blogged was when I was upset about my surgery being postponed. Notice I said postponed, and not cancelled like I was saying...I was angry and needed to vent . But after having lots of time to think about this, so far I am glad with the way things are going. I know God has a reason for everything and I firmly believe in that.
So be it if November 29th just wasnt my day for whatever reason. , ya know its like your scared shittless 
and finially build up the courage to say to yourself ok I will go through this to then have that day taken from under your feet and have to wait all over again.....my time will come soon enough!! At least this way I get to eat good food for Christmas..hehehe

OK i am really sad......
I went see Dr Bellanger yesterday for my final visit before surgery. We signed papers and everything..all I had left to day was my pre op testing at the hospital and I was good to go for surgery!!! So I had to be at the surgical center for 6:30 am...I was there and did my exrays, upper GI, blood work, pulminary function test, ekg, etc..etc.. as I was sitting in the lobby waiting to go..my cell phone rings and it was a nurse from the hospital, she called to tell me that Dr Bellanger decided to postpone my surgery. I went to his office after to speak to him, and luckly he was there...well he told me that the surgical center that he operates in is being bought out by someone else and as of December they would no longer be able to do the surgery there, so he felt like he did not want to risk me having the procedure there beings some of his staff had already left to find new jobs. He told me that he was looking out for the best for me!! What a wonderful Doctor who really cares!!!

...OMG.....JUST GOT THE CALL FROM DR BELLANGERS OFFICE...THE INSURANCE APPROVED ME
!!! MY SURGERY IS SCHEDULED FOR NOV 29TH!! TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY!!! NOT SURE IF I WANNA CRY, RUN OR SCREAM WITH EXCITEMENT!!! i CAN'T EXPLAIN WHAT I AM FEELING RIGHT NOW, ITS A MIXTURE OF EXCITEMENT THAT FINIALLY I WILL GET MY NEW LIFE, AND A FEELING OF BEING SO SCARED SEEMS SO REAL NOW WITH A DATE! PLEASE PRAY FOR ME THAT ALL GOES WELL!!

I spoke to BCBS today, they did receive all the info they needed from Dr. B's office. 
The lady with BCBS said that in the computer system the claim is listed as "PENDING" which I guess is better than a big fat denial!! 
I called Kim at Dr Bs office just to let her know that I found this out, she said that she thinks its taking them longer than usual to approve things, but she will give them till the end of this week to give her and answer, if she does not hear from them she will call them again. Sometimes it takes a little bugging and pushing the issue with the insurance companies to get them to move on it. Guess they dont wanna give up that money!!

Well, got a call today from Kim at the Drs office that finially they are submitting everything to the insurance company today. Hopefully it wont take them long to get an approval and a date. Keeping fingers crossed!!!
