Blount Memorial Hosptial

"I think the fourth floor bariatrics team is great. Very funny and caring staff. What I did NOT like was the nurse that came up to help from a different floor to try to help with the night shift. When I got up for my walk she attached the bag that goes to the catheter to her smock. Then she started to run off somewhere...with my bag...it was still in my bladder at the time. I had a few choice words for the crazy woman. Other than that, the staff was great. With the exception of the two women (not nurses) that come around when your fixing to be discharged and try to bath you and give you stuff. I found them to be very rude and offensive. I don't know if they were having a bad day or what, but they were very short. In my opinion, they do not need to be working with patients. My opinion of them was less than negative. I read the comments and don't understand what the heck people mean when they said that BM has horrible parking. I mean, gee, they have a garage and even little golf cart type-things that you can get brought to and from the front door with. Anyhow, I couldn't resist commenting on the parking."

Mark A. Colquitt

"You can tell that Dr. Colquitt, Dr. Ray, and the staff of Premier Surgical have all done extensive research on not only the surgery itself, but with aftercare as well. My first impression of Dr. Colquitt was good. He was very thorough in explaning the actual surgical procedure, and seemed genuinely concerned with the patient's wellbeing. He wanted to make sure that I would have support people there for me after surgery. The staff at Premier is great. They told me upfront what I could expect to pay out of pocket after insurance paid it's part. And after surgery, no matter how small or insignificant the question, the staff (especially Mary) would always take the time to talk to me. One of the best thing about this group is that they along with Angie Stewart, have organized a great support group for just the patients who are patients of Dr. Colquitt's. I would definitely reccommend Dr. Colquitt and Premier Surgical for anyone looking into WLS."

David Bender

"On the phone I thought Dr. Bender was a bit short. But in person, he's great."
