I have had many abdomenal surgeries and also have some severe illnesses, such as severe fibromyalgia, lymphedema (legs, particularly my left, and abdomen), osteoarthritis, diabetes, gastroparesis and sarcoidosis, among other things. I did see a gastric banding/bypass surgeon (Dr. Eleriny... not sure if spelled right) but he told me that I was a really high risk and would rather not do the surgery due to all the adhesions from previous surgeries.

At this point I feel pretty hopeless, although I didn't really think that the surgery would help because my eating habits (while terrible when I was younger) are very good and healthy. I eat about 1700 calories a day or less. The lymphedema keeps me big.

I've been overweight since I was abducted and sexually abused at the age of six (actually sexually abused by 7 people by the age of five as well) and have struggled ever since. I am now 52 years old and weigh on the upper side of 300, close to 400. Insulin and medications have caused me to gain weight on top of an already large body.
