I come from a family of 5 my parents and my 2 sisters lucky me I'm the middle sister. I have been obese almost all my life. I am now some what married (it's complicated) with 4 amazing children 3 boys 8,13 & 15 and my daughter who is 6.
I have been interested in doing this surgery for years, I was in the process of going to the states when they increased the amount of surgery's done in Ontario. I was supposed to attend the information seminar over 2 years ago and I became ill. Again I was booked to go Feb 2012 when a life changing event happened to my family so I figured one life changing event was enough at a time. So I FINALLY made it to the info. session on July 22/13 and it confirmed everything I already knew about the surgery and that without any doubts that I am ready to move forward (it can't happen fast enough). At this point it's all I can think about! My 2 BFF's are great but I don't want to scare them off by talking about it all the time. I had hoped my friend would decide to do the surgery as well but she thinks that its giving up to much. So as great as my friends are I thought it would be helpful to find support people who understands what I'm going through and I hope I have found it. Now all I can do is wait to hear from the hospital and go a little crazy in the meantime.
