Northeast Georgia Medical Center

"The only negative experience I had was my first liquid diet, they made a mistake and brought me "SWEET" TEA, and APPLE JUICE! I didn't know the tea was sweet until I tried it, so I experienced the dreaded dumping syndrome first thing. My dietician was not happy with the hospital. : )"

C. Daniel Procter, Sr.

"My first impression of Dr. Procter was that he is very well educated in the program of bariatrics. He trained with some of the best in the country. Over the last 8 months, I began to see why this successful vascular surgeon changed his practice to include bariatrics. It is a passion for him to know that he is helping patients take control of their weight for the rest of their lives. His office is very professional and courteous. I didn't have to answer the same questions 4 or 5 times. (I hate that.) The only thing I liked least about him was that my meeting with him was on the day of pre-op testing. I would have liked to have had the opportunity to meet with him sooner. Dr. Procter's program is wonderful. It does take 6 to 8 months to go through, including waiting for insurance approval. However, I realized that I needed each and everyone of those days to prepare me for the lifelong commitment I am making. The aftercare is extensive, follow ups, support meetings, group meetings. Dr. Procter is very up front about the risks of surgery. I would have to rate Dr. Proctor a 9, because no one is perfect! I believe that Dr. Procter is performing these surgeries, because he is talented but also he has true compassion for those of us who fall in this category of morbid obesity. You can tell when a person is sincere and passionate about what they do. He is the real deal. These previous statements were those of my opinions and impression of my doctor."
