"I became very upset prior to surgery. The pre-op staff were very sensitive to my needs and got me a hospital chaplin at my request to help calm me down. The allowed me to feel in control of my own situation. I was not thrilled with the nurse-anesthetist that interviewed me during a pre-operative visit, but my anesthesiologist was wonderful.
I did not like the recliner that my doctor has you use the first 24 hours, but the reach bar on the bed was great. If they don't already have one for you request one."
"Dr. M is wonderful ! I met him in the ER when I had a gallbladder attack. We discussed Gastric By-Pass when I went to his office for followup. He is intelligent, warm and kind.
His office staff are very kind and caring. Especially Judy and Jeanne. You do have to stay on top of them during the approval process. This Dr Requires clearances from pulmonologists, cardiologists, etc. He will not schedule surgery until all results are in.
I have no negative comments about him. He was approachable, always available and calls you back personally.
He and his partner Christopher Boynton require all patients to participate in New Beginnings, a comprehensive aftercare program. I would not use any surgeon that does not emphasize aftercare, without it you are lost.
He talked about the risks of surgery and was forthright when asked about his personal complication rate.
He has both excellent surgical competence and excellent bedside manner. You really need both. I had a prolonged healing period sue to an autoimmune disorder and Dr. M has been with me every step of the way. I could not be more pleased.
I hate that you say that 100% positive reviews are suspect because I truly cannot say a negative thing about this doctor. Even the wait in the office is short. "
