My surgery went great!  They found a hernia tha I didn't know that I had, but it's been repaired and now I'm off to healing!  I'm still praying that I leave here WITHOUT my diabetes!  ::-)  I'm pretty much pain free.  I'm uncomfortable at times, but I haven't had the gas problems that so many people have from the anesthesia.  I also don't have a drain tube.  Hopefully I'll start passing regular gas by tomorrow.  Nothing by mouth yesterday, ice chips today, then liquids tomorrow.  My doctors and all of the hospital staff have been absolutely wonderful!  I had a cheering squad here with me before I went in to surgery.  My husband, two of my friends that are more like sisters to me, my mother-in-law, and my brother-in-law!  My mom couldn't be here due to her babysitting my precious little dog!  Lol!  She was here in spirit though!  I'm walking a lot, and sipping my ice chips, and using my incentive spirometer.  I'll be going home on Sunday.  The drive is 2 hours long, so I've got my pillows ready for action!  If I don't update anymore before I leave, the I hope to do so from hoime soon!  For those of you who are considering this surgery, please do your research!  It is the right thing for me, but it's not for everybody.  God bless you all, and I am so thakful for all of my blessings!  Take care!
