So...I am looking to get the VSG with Dr. Alvarez in MX and just wanted to let people know I will NOT be using the surgeon who is listed on my profile and did my lap band ,also I  would advise anyone AGINST using him....just FYI!!!

It has been a while since I have been on here! Not a month after my band surgery I went to the ER for severe pain on my left side. After several scans they found abcesess on my spleen and liver, they put in drain tubes to help with the infection. After a week they came back and said it wasn't working and they needed to remove my spleen and my band. I was in ICU for a few days and they had to open me up to get my spleen out because it would have fallen apart and my incision was left open for 2 weeks. I have talked to a few lawyers and no one is interested in my case, I am still not exactly sure what happened, my Dr said it had nothing to do with the band surgery but I am not convinced! I have since gained back the 60lbs I had lost and am hoping to get a VSG. But, seeing how I paid cash for the first surgery $10,000, my ins doesn't cover it at all. I am trying to figure out how to get some money!!

Well, all is well and I feel great! My surgery was scheduled for 9am, I had to be there at 8am,and they started about 9:30 and I was home about 1:30. I don't remember much and so far (knock on wood) I don't have any gas pains! I really hope there is actually something in there or I am going to be pissed!!! I tried to get them to give me an x-ray or something so that my crazyass knows it's really there!!!

So, I guess it's almost here! We had to move my surgery to the 16 and I am now on clear liquids. Last weeek was full liquids,not too bad but, this clear liquid stuff is kicking my butt! I already posted this but, I HATE JELLO! I am pretty much over being hungry but I feel like I am in a fog. I am ready for tommorow to be over with and get on with the surgery already!

 

As of today I am schedule for surgery on Nov 9! I have to do 2 weeks of liquid diet pre-op. So, for the next two weeks I will be stuffing my pipe with everything I love! I know it is probably not "smart" of me but, i feel I can use this as sort of a "grieving"  process for the foods I will be unable to eat bread, diet coke etc etc! Yay for me!

Well I finally found my camera! Me and the kiddos were playing with it last night! Good fun Kai was taking pictures of everything!

I will have some pics up soon, I just don't have any saved on my new computer! I am tired of having the creepy guy as my profile pic!
