"In the beginning I thought highly of Dr. Francis, until I had my complications. I felt like she had washed her hands of me the minute I paged her with 911 that morning. "
"The hospital and staff was wonderful. Day shift much more than night shift. I had some amazing nurses, and then some who weren't so amazing. That goes with any hospital though. The only thing I noticed was that they had an abundance of male nurse's aids. Good when you need help getting up, bad, when you need a sponge bath, or assistance wiping. "
"The hospital was okay, but the nursing staff, while kind, was not helpful in the least. If I didn't get up and unplug my own IV I never would have gotten out of that bed, or probably even told to. You must page them for everything. You can't expect them to just come and fix a beeping IV machine. My friend was given regular jello at one point during her stay. Make sure it is marked with a D on the lid, because they didn't. The bariatric ward was full, so my first 2 days was in the regular department. Not much of a difference though. "
"Dr. Sarkies was my second pcp, and it was such a relief to get in with him. No medical group to answer to, so what he says goes. When I called to find out ahead of time whether their office had any experience with Bypass patients, and if he was approving of it, the receptionist informed me that she herself was a wls patient and had lost 150 pounds. She also said that did have a few other patients that were having or had had surgery as well. When I went in to ask for a referal, there was no problem what so ever. He didn't push me for my diet history or judge me. He also began treating me for my borderline hypertension, something that my previous dr hadn't thought was bad enough yet. A+++++ all the way. Shortest wait time in the lobby I have ever experienced as well. "
